Founded in 2006 as a sub-organization of United Sherpa Association, The Network of Sherpa Students and Professionals (NSSP) is a student and professional volunteer-led organization, dedicated to the educational and professional development of the Sherpa community. NSSP works towards its goal of education and professional development of the Sherpa community through engaging high school students, college students, and professionals in our community.

NSSP works to create an atmosphere where the youths in our community are given a platform to take leadership roles, practice public speaking and be actively involved as community organizers.NSSP also aims to promote and preserve cultural awareness and engagement in the youth of our community through the inclusion of culture in our events.
